Q. Can the PARENT REACHING OUT GRANT be used for FAMILY MATHLETES?
A. Yes, many schools have applied for the PRO Grant with MATHLETES as their activity and have been successful in securing the grant. We can provide you with the verbiage required for the application to make the process easy for you.
Q. Can the FAMILY EDITION of MATHLETES be booked on its own?
A. The Family Night works best when students have participated in MATHLETES during the day and have an understanding of how they event works and can in effect “teach” their parents how to be MATHLETES. It is a fun filled evening and when it follows the day event it is even more exciting!
Q. Can other grades than 2 to 6 participate in the FAMILY EDITION of MATHLETES?
A. Yes, we encourage older and younger siblings to attend and work beside the grade 2 to 6 students. We have materials for younger students that will be available.
Q. If we want to do a community dinner before the event does MATHLETES provide the food?
A. Unfortunately we do not provide food but we do find offering a pizza dinner is a great way to bring families together before the event and most often the cost can be incorporated into the PRO Grant.
Q. What is expected of the school for preparation for the FAMILY EDITION of MATHLETES?
A. If the FAMILY EDITION follows the STUDENT EDITION all will be set up and ready to go for the evening and all that is required will be the continued use of the tables, chairs and some intermediates for coaching.
Q. Do you provide flyers to be sent home regarding the FAMILY EDITION of MATHLETES?
A. Yes, we have everything you need to make the event easy to organize and will personalize the flyers to meet your specific needs.
